Running on Empty

I was feeling really weary last night and then after picking up the kids from an activity I realized my gas tank was reading ZERO miles till Empty....oh my gosh...just a few minutes earlier it read 43 miles to Empty...what happened???!?!?!?!?...I only went a few miles away from the house....so after i panicked and had a cry...I tried my new meditation tape to try to refocus myself...

In the light of day I realize that many people offered to help and ultimately someone came to my rescue. Today was radiation treatment #8 out of 28. I read the Bible this morning and was captured by this passage from Romans:

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Romans 15:5-6, 13

I am encouraged by those words and will focus myself on endurance and hope today despite feeling my own personal fuel tank feels like it's on on Empty.

God is an awesome God.

OH and let me share with yah: My precious four year old angel...was so worried about me i was so upset i have been very picky in the grand scheme of things not wanting to buy a new x-mas tree so i waited until tonight to put up my old ikky charlie brown tree LOL so there i sat with the kids putting it up and she looks up and out of no where explains "Mommy why yah' sad ...its just a tree...yah know it's jesus's birthday!" how smart is she!

I guess we all old and small need a bit of reminder that There is something bigger and greater than us all!

  3. Jodi-
I was so happy to see Cricketts Answer For Cancer on your side bar so I e-mailed her sister in law right away to let her know!Thank you! You are in my thoughts and prayers dear friend! You are an encouragement to me right now so keep up the good fight! My chemo starts Monday. I did the same with my etsy shop also...you can always start up when you feel up to it and the web site still allows viewing of what is possible so rest in knowing people will come back because they love your work!
    Love you - Koryn

  4. Jodi, many hugs and prayers for you and yours. We have been thinking of you this past year and stopped by the blog to see how you are doing from time to time. I look forward to the day that you and yours can once again camp here and the only worry on your list is if the weather will hold. Even though we know you are already a seasoned tenter :)
More hugs and well wishes from Orford.
